Stoneware Jar with Freehand Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated with an undulating fuchsia vine between freehand stripes. Excellent condition with some oversalting to parts of decoration, a glazed-over 1/2" chip to bottom edge of rim, and some staining. H 9 1/2".
