One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and arched tab handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with an undulating vine bearing fan-shaped and clustered blossoms. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Two chips to one handle. Minor rim wear. A touch of old white paint at base. A long salt drip below one handle. H 9 1/4".
