Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to William Morgan, Stamped "X," possibly with Thomas Amoss, Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, cylindrical jar footed base, tooled and rounded shoulder, and semi-rounded rim, decorated completely around the shoulder with flowers joined by draped garlands, below a wavy stripe. Rare impressed "X" below rim. Very nice condition with a minor chip to underside at edge and a minor in-the-firing ping to interior of rim. H 8".
