Four Pieces of Glazed Stoneware, Southern origin, fourth quarter 19th or early 20th century, an ovoid pitcher with flaring collar, featuring heavy rutile over an olive-colored, alkaline-glazed ground, possibly Joe "Jug" Johnson, Laurens, SC; a cup with brown alkaline glaze, probably NC origin; a miniature cylindrical jug with green alkaline glaze, probably GA origin; and a brown-glazed loving cup, probably NC origin. A chip to rim of small cup. A chip to spout of jug. A chip to rim of loving cup as well as a small piece of adhered clay to handle. Pitcher in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of tallest) 5 1/4".
