Two Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jugs, NC origin, second half 19th century, a highly ovoid jug with semi-squared spout and mottled-brown alkaline glaze, paired with an ovoid jug with flaring spout and mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze. A chip to spout of olive-glazed example. Both in otherwise excellent condition. H (of each) approx. 9".
