Fine Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, attributed to Pottersville Stoneware Manufactory, possibly Harry at Pottersville, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1830s, ovoid jug with distinctive tooled spout and thick, rounded handle, the surface covered in a glossy, pale-green alkaline glaze. Incised with a single slash mark at shoulder. A tight 8 1/2" Y-shaped crack starting near base on front and extending towards shoulder on proper left side of jug. Otherwise excellent condition. H 14 1/2".
