Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Upstate SC origin, possibly Rich Williams, Gowensville area, Greenville County, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid jar with flaring collar and applied lug handles, the surface covered in a streaky gray-green alkaline glaze. This jar exhibits a distinctive collar molding associated with marked Rich Williams canning jars, offering the possibility that it was made by him. One handle with a 1" chip and minor nick. Opposing handle with significant chipping. H 13 1/4".
