Rare Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Canning Jar, Upstate SC origin, second half 19th century, tapering jar with flattened tab handles and narrow "wax sealer" rim, the surface covered in a mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze. A shallow 5/8" rim chip and shallow 5/8" chip to one handle. A minor nick to opposing handle. H 10 3/4".
