Three Bellarmine Stoneware Jugs, probably Frechen, Germany, 16th or 17th century, each of highly ovoid form with sprig-molded and applied decoration of a bearded man's face at the spout and a medallion at the midsection, dipped in an iron-oxide wash and covered in a heavy salt glaze. Shortest with significant restoration to upper spout and body, indicating cracks or reglued sections to body. Additional in-the-firing flaws to surface. Taller brown jug with restored chipping around base and possible restored spout chip. Taller gray jug with significant restoration to top of spout and significant unrestored base chips. H (of shortest) 8 1/4".
