Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Eagle Motif, Stenciled "E PLURIBUS UNUM," OH origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring a tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stenciled design of a flying eagle with banner in its beak, inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Stenciled "6" above within a circular border. Two cracks from rim on reverse, measuring 10 1/4" and 8". A 3 1/2" diagonal crack from rim on reverse. An area of exfoliation to proper left side and reverse. Water glass staining to interior. H 14 1/4".
