Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "HIGGINS & CO. / CLEVELAND, O," mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a large tulip motif ascending the front. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Mottling to surface. An in-the-firing contact mark to proper right side of jug. An in-the-firing flake to top of spout. A minor base chip. A 1/2" hole in underside. Staining to surface. H 14".
