Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. STADDEN / SUMMIT CO. O.," mid 19th century, ovoid jug with tapered spout, brush-decorated with a horizontal tulip motif over a coating of slip. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and maker's mark. A drip of staining to proper left side of jug. Excellent condition with two minor spout chips and a small piece of adhered clay at shoulder. H 18".
