Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, a cake crock with brushed floral motif, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG : PA," paired with an ovoid jar with brushed floral motif, stamped "L.H. YEAGER & CO. / ALLENTON. PA." Provenance: Herb and Carol Hausmann Collection. Cake crock with a smooth, glazed-over rim chip, a small chip to interior of rim, and a minor rim nick, as well as a tight spider crack in underside, forming a 3 3/4" restored crack on reverse. Jar with two in-the-firing iron pings to proper right side and some staining. l H (of jar) 6 3/4".
