Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, attributed to Satterlee & Mory, Fort Edward, NY, circa 1865, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with fan-shaped tail, perched on a leafy branch. Cobalt highlight to capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A Y-shaped crack across underside, forming a large Y at base on one side and a 6" vertical crack ascending opposing side. H 9 1/8".
