Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to the Thompson Pottery, Morgantown, WV, circa 1870, tapering, tankard-form pitcher with tall, tapering collar and tooled banding, brush-decorated with vertical striping along the spout, a highlight around the rim, and dashes along the handle. Long hairlines to collar and spout area. Wear to rim and spout. Minor chipping to rim. Significant chipping to base. A large H-shaped line to underside. A flake to edge of handle. Light surface wear and light staining to body of pitcher. H 11".
