Three Pieces of Glazed Stoneware, Edgefield District, SC, fourth quarter 19th century, a three-gallon ovoid jar with mottled dark-brown-to-tan alkaline glaze, marked "3" and an ovoid handled jar or stew pot with mottled brown alkaline glaze, both attributed to the W.F. Hahn Pottery, Trenton, SC; together with a brown-glazed ovoid pitcher, probably Joseph G. Baynham Pottery, Trenton, SC. Provenance: Richard and Cindy Pearce Collection. Largest with significant restored crack, extending onto underside, where it is unrestored, as well as restoration around the reglued handles, a small rim chip, and chipping around inner rim. Handled jar with broken and restored sections, including a two-inch restored loss to rim, and a minor unrestored handle chip. Pitcher with small chips and wear to rim, one of which is glazed over, a small in-the-firing ping near base, the handle with minor chipping and blackish residue. H (of largest) 13".
