Two Pieces of Glazed Stoneware, SC origin, second half 9th century, a rare two-toned pitcher with Bristol and brown glazes, attributed to the Joseph G. Baynham Pottery, Trenton, SC, late 19th century; paired with a semi-ovoid jug with mottled alkaline glaze, attributed to the Landrum-Stork Pottery, Columbia, SC, third quarter 19th century. Provenance: Richard and Cindy Pearce Collection. Pitcher with restored handle, wear to rim and spout, a 2 1/2" hairline from spout, and a small in-the-firing ping to front. Jug with two flakes and other minor wear to spout as well as hairlines in the handle indicating the handle is likely reglued. H (of jug) 12 1/4".
