Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. WEAVER," Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and ribbed lug handles, brush-decorated with an undulating vine bearing three blossoms. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Surface wear to body of jar, most prominent on jar's proper left side, including spots of wear. Some wear to handles. A small chip to interior of rim. An in-the-firing chip to underside at edge. H 12 3/4".
