Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, first half 19th century, highly ovoid jug with footed base and flaring spout, the lead-glazed surface featuring colorful orange spotting against an olive ground. Areas of small scattered flakes and light wear to body of jug. Shallow chips and wear to spout. A shallow 7/8" flake to side of handle. A few minor base chips. Some old residue to body, spout, and handle of jug. A horizontal hairline through handle. Old newspaper residue to underside. H 8 3/4".
