Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware with Alexandria, VA Advertising, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, a half-gallon jar, a one-gallon jar, and a one-gallon jug, all with various stenciling advertising for Alexandria, VA merchant, Elisha Janney Miller. Smaller jar with some fry to cobalt. Larger jar with surface line to underside, not visible on interior, a glazed-over base chip, some minor in-the-firing surface flaws, and light surface wear. Jug with two chips to handle, some in-the-firing chips, and a tiny spout nick. H (of smallest) 8".
