Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM-E.WARNER / WEST TROY," NY State origin, circa 1855, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a four-petaled flower. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Underside is slightly raised. Chips to inner rim for lid. Underside is slightly raised. A small worn spot to reverse. A small iron ping on left side of jar. H 10 3/4".
