One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX . / HARRISBURG .PA," circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a flowering plant bearing three blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A 3 1/4" hairline from rim on front. Several in-the-firing iron pings to body. H 9 3/4".
