Two Small-Sized Stoneware Jugs with Coggled Fish-and-Berry Motifs, attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820, both of ovoid form with tooled spouts, decorated with a coggled design of a fish facing a cluster of berries, brushed over in cobalt slip. Taller jug impressed "GIN" at shoulder. Shorter jug in excellent condition with a small in-the-firing chip to handle. Taller jug with restored handle, some restoration to spout, and a large, partially-restored inverted T-shaped crack from spout. H (of shorter jug) 9 1/4".
