Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "RAGER LLOYD & CO / PALATINE. W. VA.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring Rager, Llloyd, and Company maker's stenciling surrounding a stenciled floral motif. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Shoulder additionally-decorated with a stenciled "2" flanked by dashes. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 11 1/2".
