Exceptional Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "J.A.C.," John A. Craven, Randolph County, NC, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with flared spout, the surface featuring dramatic, green-colored runs of salt glaze. Beautiful form and outstanding surface. Among the finest-glazed examples of North Carolina stoneware that we have offered. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small piece of adhered clay between the spout and handle. H 13 1/2".
