Scarce Five-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug, Stamped Twice "E.S. CRAVEN," Enoch S. Craven, Randolph County, NC, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, two applied strap handles, and four rows of dentile coggling around the shoulder, the surface covered in a salt glaze with appealing drips to shoulder area. Stamped on front and reverse with large-sized Enoch S. Craven maker's marks. Desirable form. Excellent condition with a small chip to underside at edge, other very minor chipping to underside at edge, and some minor surface wear. H 18".
