One-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "PALATINE POTTERY CO. / PALATINE, W. VA," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled design of a pear surrounded by Palatine Pottery Company maker's stenciling. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor in-the-firing recessed spot to right of stenciling and a minor area of adhered clay on reverse. H 10 1/4".
