Scarce Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO / Parkersburg.W.Va.," Stamped "OK," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, featuring A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling above a band of geometric stenciling. Stenciled "4" below, flanked by arched stenciled devices. Scarce "OK" stamp at base on reverse. An in-the-firing recessed area to left side of crock's front. Right handle with four hairlines and a chip. A 6" diagonal surface line below right handle, not visible on interior. Two minor nicks to interior of rim. Some light staining to reverse. H 12 1/2".
