Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stenciled "A P. Donaghho, / Parkersburg, W.Va," circa 1880, semi-ovoid jug with tooling to base of spout, elaborately-decorated with diagonal bands of geometric stenciling, including a stenciled 3 at shoulder. Diagonal A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling at base. In-the-firing discoloration areas. A 4 1/2" crack on underside, extending 5 1/2" diagonally at base on reverse. Some wear to spout and handle. Light surface wear. An in-the-firing chip to shoulder. H 16 1/2".
