Scarce Matching Set of Three Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, PA or NJ origin, second half 19th century, each with coggled edge, decorated in yellow slip with matching wavy line and spot designs under a clear lead glaze. Provenance: Lot includes a handwritten 1989 note regarding the origin of the plates, stating that they had been owned by a Millville, NJ woman with family ties to Lancaster, PA. All in very nice condition. One smaller dish with a few minor rim chips. Other smaller dish with a rim chip and some rim wear. Largest with a few minor rim nicks and minor wear to interior. Diam. (of largest) 10 1/2".
