Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Norton Family, Bennington, VT, circa 1825, a three-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, stamped "L. NORTON / BENNINGTON;" a three-gallon ovoid jar with cobalt highlights, stamped "L. NORTON / BENNINGTON;" and one-gallon ovoid jug with brushed double-stemmed floral decoration, stamped "L. NORTON. & Co." Floral-decorated jar with cracks, rim chips, and in-the-firing iron pings. Undecorated jar with rim chips and significant cracks. Jug with restored handle, fry to cobalt, a vertical crack at base on reverse, small base chips, and traces of old red paint. H (of jug) 11".
