Five Salt-Glazed Stoneware Bottles, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, one stamped "W / RICHARD WARREN & CO." with Albany-slip-dipped top; one stamped "CHAS. P. SCHAEFER. REG'STD" with impressed star and cobalt highlights; one impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "SMITH S / WHITE ROOT BEER" with cobalt band; one with cobalt highlighted spout and the impressed advertising "1849 / RICE & PLUMMER;" and one with slip-trailed initials, "C. & P." 1849 Bottle with vertical crack, a small spout nick, and minor surface wear. Shaefer bottle with two base nicks and a minor spout nick. Warren bottle with a spout chip and two in-the-firing chips to underside at edge. C & P bottle with an in-the-firing contact mark to bottom edge. White Root Beer bottle with small glazed-over flake to shoulder and minor surface wear. H (of tallest) 10 7/8".
