Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Traces of old paint to surface. Chipping to inner rim for lid. H 13 3/4".
