Two Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Floral Decorations, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, a three-gallon churn with elaborate slip-trailed design of three blossoms emanating from a curved stem, paired with a six-gallon jar with related design of two blossoms emanating from a central stem. Churn with large reglued piece at base/underside, a 10 1/2" inverted Y-shaped crack on side of churn, and a 6" diagonal line to reverse, to small chips to interior of rim, and minor residue to surface. Jar with restored cracks. H (of churn) 15 1/2".
