Three Pieces of Norton Pottery Ephemera, late 19th century, a framed receipt from "EDWARD NORTON & CO. / Manufacturers, Importers & Jobbers of / Stoneware, Crockery, Glass & Lamp Goods / Established 1793.," Dated April 14, 1897 and hand-signed "The Edw Norton Co;" an illustrated price list for EDWARD NORTON & CO., Dated August 18. 1886; and a paper label marked "CROCKERY--WITH CARE. / The Edw'd Norton Co., / MANUFACTURERS AND JOBBERS. / STONEWARE, CROCKERY AND GLASS, BENNINGTON, VERMONT," nailed to a fragment from a stoneware shipping crate, with wire added for hanging. Receipt in excellent condition. Price list in very nice condition with some discoloration and typical fold marks and hand-written notations. Label/crate fragment with tear to corner of label. The crate fragment includes wine company stenciling on the reverse, indicating the wood was likely repurposed by The Edward Norton Company for shipping stoneware. Dimensions: (of price list including frame): H 21" x W 14 3/4".
