Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jars, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, one with freehand stripe decoration, stenciled "From / Hamilton & Jones / Greensboro.Pa," the other stenciled "Jas. Hamilton / & Co. / Greensboro / Pa." Larger with minor chips and wear to interior of rim, a chip to inner rim, some in-the-firing clay residue to top of rim, a small in-the-firing base chip, in-the-firing discoloration, and light surface wear. Smaller jar with chipping to interior of rim and inner rim for lid, a base chip, and traces of old green paint. H 9 3/4".
