Two Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," circa 1855, a two-gallon semi-ovoid jug with double-stemmed floral motif featuring heavily-detailed blossoms and leaves, paired with a one-gallon cylindrical crock with related motif. Jug with small in-the-firing pings to surface, restoration to area on bottom half of reverse, and some restoration to spout. Crock with some faint crazing and staining to surface, a few tiny rim nicks, a minor chip to one handle, and water glass staining to interior. H 13 3/4".
