One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," circa 1855, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with an abstract, slip-trailed foiate motif featuring opposing scrolled stems. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Staining throughout. Minor chipping to base. H 11".
