Half-Gallon Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "BOSTON.," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled shoulder and rounded spout, decorated with dipped iron-oxide slip decoration to the upper body and base. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing contact mark near base on side of jug. H 9 1/4".
