Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, small-sized, cylindrical jar with tooled body, rounded shoulder, and squared rim, brush-decorated with a sweeping stem bearing leaves and an open-centered flower blossom. Includes possibly-original salt-glazed lid. A shallow 3/4" rim chip and a few rim nicks. Some fry to cobalt. Lid in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/8".
