One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with footed base and heavily-tooled collar, brush-decorated with two-stemmed tulip plant emanating from the base. Swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a 2" surface line to underside, not visible on interior, some other minor crazing to underside, and in-the-firing mottling to clay on reverse/side. H 11 1/4".
