Rare Quart-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Remmey Sr. or Jr. at Henry Myers's Baltimore Stoneware Manufactory, Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, small-sized, highly-ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, heavily-decorated with a horizontal floral motif composed of wide brush strokes. Swag decoration to spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Exceptional size. Very nice condition. Spout with a shallow flake to top edge and two minor chips. A small chip to side of rim. Two minor base chips. A tiny in-the-firing surface nick to collar. H 6 3/4".
