One-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1825, cylindrical crock with footed base, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a horizontal tulip and swag motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Incised "1" under one handle. Minor surface wear. A 1 1/2" glazed-over flake to underside. A 1 3/4" base chip. A small rim chip and other minor rim chipping. H 5 1/4" ; Diam. 9 1/2".
