Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING. PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with semi-rounded rim, applied lug handles, and tooled accents to shoulder and midsection, brush-decorated with an undulating vine bearing open-centered flowers. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor water glass staining to interior. H 11 1/2".
