Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug with Rock Teeth, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA origin, circa 1970, ovoid jug with applied facial features including glazed kaolin eyes with black-slip pupils and open mouth with rock teeth. Surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. As-made condition with firing cracks to underside. H 10 1/2".
