Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM. MOYER / HARRISBURG. PA," circa 1858-1861, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with two tulips with large stamens emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. A 5 1/2" vertical line on reverse, including a tiny surface chip. A small surface flake below decoration. Light surface crazing to right of decoration. Minor base wear. Some in-the-firing iron pings to surface. H 14 1/2".
