One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX. / HARRISBURG .PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip with dashed stamen. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Excellent condition with a minor, in-the-firing iron ping to right side, some staining, and some in-the-firing rust-colored residue to surface. H 11".
