Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, a three-gallon jug with slip-trailed floral spray, paired with three-gallon jar with symmetrical, scrolled foliate motif. Jug with a staining to surface, a short horizontal line at base, and some bubbling to cobalt. Jar with scattered exfoliation, one handle fully restored, and a restored section to rim on reverse. H (of jug) 15 1/2".
