Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitchers, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1875, both of ovoid, tall-collared form, one with slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "FRANK B NORTON / WORCESTER MASS.," the other with slip-trailed foliate motif, impressed with the advertising, "A.B. Wheeler & Co / Boston Mass." Norton pitcher with some fry to cobalt and exfoliation to surface on front/left side of pitcher. Wheeler pitcher with areas of restoration to bottom half and underside of pitcher. H (of Wheeler pitcher) 9 3/4".
