Three Pieces of Union Pottery Stoneware, Newark, NJ origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a two-gallon Bristol-glazed crock with cobalt tulip decoration, stamped "JACOB ZIPF' / UNION POTTERY / NEWARK, N.J.;" a one-gallon jug with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "HAIDLE & ZIPF / UNION POTTERY, / NEWARK, N.J.;" and a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with X-shaped foliate motif, stamped "UNION POTTERY / J. ZIPF, PROP." Jacob Zipf crock with rim chips. Jug with crack through handle, small spout chip, and small in-the-firing ping at base. Jar with Y-shaped hairline cross underside, a large piece of clay affixed at base, and a ping to left of decoration. H (of jug) 11 3/4".
